Far-Right Riots in England

Yesterday was a sad day in England as far-right thugs battled police in the streets. Read about it at the Guardian.

Judging from the pictures, these übermensch all had a bad run in the gene-pool lottery.

The Case against UNRWA

It has recently been revealed that:

  • 14 UNRWA staff took part in the October massacre.
  • 1,200 UNRWA staff in Gaza are members of terrorist groups.
  • 3,000 UNRWA teachers were in a Telegram group that celebrated October massacre.
  • Hamas built a terror tunnel directly below UNRWA Headquarters in Gaza, hiding a computer intelligence centre that was powered by the agency’s electrical grid.

Read about it at UN Watch.

An Obscure Russian-Linked ‘News’ Outlet Fuels Violence in Britain

Ali al-Shakati has never existed, but that didn’t stop Channel3 Now—an obscure, Russian-linked fake-news outlet—from naming him as a 17-year-old supposedly Muslim asylum seeker responsible for the murder of three British schoolgirls. The far-right mob naturally jumped on the fake news and started to riot. Read about it at the Telegraph.

Far-Right Israeli Minister Says Starving Gazans May Be Moral

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said yesterday that starving two million Gazans may be the right and moral to do until Israeli hostages held in Gaza are released. He’s a complete idiot! No, it would not be morally acceptable. Far-right a*holes like Smotrich that gives far-left a*holes “proof” of Israeli apartheid and genocide. Read about it at Haaretz.

From Hot War to Cold Feet?

“Iran’s mullahcracy might be made up of crazies, but they aren’t suicidal.” Well, I’m so sure about that. Seventy virgins and all that… Read about it at PJ Media.

The Rise of Academic Hate

“There are far too many radical professors who dominate academia, peddle hate, and dehumanise those who dissent from their narrow-minded ideological views.” It’s sad because it’s true. Read about it at Campus Reform.

Britain Is Now a Totalitarian State

“We can safely declare, without exaggeration or hyperbole, that Britain is now a totalitarian state.” Hm… Hard to exaggerate more. Read about it at PJ Media.

Iranian Attack on Tisha B’Av?

Tonight, at sundown, the Jewish Tisha B’Av begins. It’s a day when we remember the destruction of the temples. It’s a day of sadness. Now, many predict that Iran will take on the symbolism and attack Israel on this day. In other words, we might be only hours away from an even bigger war than the one we’re already fighting against Hamas.

Palestine Has Never Been a State

Palestine is the only “country” that was occupied before it is existed. Just saying. I’m so tired of people talking about occupation. Israel was there 3,500 years ago. Jews are the indigenous people. That doesn’t mean the Arabs have no legit claim to the land, it’s only means that the State of Palestine and its flag is a a twentieth-century invention. Before the current State of Israel, Palestine was rulered by the Turks and the British. So, please, stop posting British passport for Palestine and pretend it’s passports for an Arab state. Read at the top, it reads “British passport”.

Napoleon Bonaparte’s Birthday

Napoleon Bonaparte was born on this day in 1769. He would be responsible for 81 battles in Europe and Africa before finally being defeated at Waterloo. Had it not been for Napoleon, we might no have had ABBA.

How Swedish ‘Snus’ Changed It All

The new trend began in Sweden, where smokeless tobacco called “snus”—sold as both loose tobacco and portioned pouches—has been used for centuries. Read about it at the Washington Post.

Holocaust Inversion Is Going Mainstream

“Holocaust inversion transposes the guilt of the abusers, the Nazis, onto the abused, the Jews, and leaves no room for any other possibility. The point, of course, is to legitimize violence against Jews.” Read it at Israel Hayom.

Communism Is Red Fascism

“Red fascists is the name that has recently been given to those Bolshevik communists who are most inclined to espouse fascism’s methods for use against their adversaries.” Correct observation by Italian anarchist Luigi Fabbri (1877–1935). You’ll find his 1922 article Preventative Counter-Revolution here.

American Mosque Condemns Pro-Hamas Sermon

After a speech and prayers by a guest imam who called for God to destroy Zionist Jews and for Hamas victory, the New York mosque at which the services occurred has condemned the sermon. Good! Read about it at the Jerusalem Post.

Israel Is Winning the War

John Spencer in Foreign Affairs:

It is now Israel’s responsibility to create the conditions that would allow new leadership in Gaza to survive. The first step is to reduce Hamas’s capabilities enough to let an external force enter Gaza and provide security in population centres. When a new body, such as the Palestinian Authority, takes over governance from Hamas, Israel will need to provide it security assistance, including with counter-terror operations. The role of Israeli forces should not amount to a constant presence in Gaza. As parts of the strip are stabilised, the new authority can lead the post-conflict work of deradicalisation, disarmament, demobilisation, and reconciliation. By supporting this new government in Gaza, facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid, and making it possible to rebuild, Israel can show the Palestinian public it is committed to a better future without Hamas.

My Comment on Fredrik Segerfeldt’s Portrayal of Israel

I rarely post anything in Swedish in this online diary, but today I replied to an article by Fredrik Segerfeldt in Dagens Arena, a Facebook comment I think holds some important aspects often ignored in Sweden’s debate on Israel.

Arwa Mahdawi Only Likes Context when It Makes Anti-Semitism Look Good

Arwa Mahdawi has written a new article for the Guardian, in which she complains about people putting Israeli warfare into context. Only clear language is legit, and nothing should be added to the explain actions. However, in November 2023, a month after the worst program against Jews since the Holocaust, it was very important for Mahdawi so stress that Hamas’s terror attack “did not take place in a vacuum”. When it comes to anti-Semitic crimes, context seems very important for Mahdawi.

No Such Thing as a Palestinian State Prior to 1988

Partition240822

The declaration of a State of Palestine took place in Algiers in Algeria on 15 November 1988. Whenever pro-Palestinians say that Israel is only 76 years old, remind them of fact that “Palestine” is only 36 years old. It could have been of equal ages as the modern State of Israel had the Arabs accepted the Partition Plan of 1947 (see map).

Jewishness as an Insult to Europeans

Matsson240823

Following the comment I made yesterday on Facebook about Israel’s right the land, some replies are more horrendous than others. Here’s woman who writes that Jews have themselves to blame for anti-Semitism and pogroms because we didn’t give up our identity and assimilate into oblivion. In fact, being Jewish in Europe is an insult to Europeans. So—to sum it up—Israel has no right to Israel, and Jews have no right to be in the diaspora, either.

Lebanese See Hope in Hamas

Hundreds of new recruits have joined Hamas and its armed wing, exhilarated by the terror group’s ongoing war with Israel. Read about it at the New York Times.

Stabbing Spree in Sydney

“A man has gone on a stabbing rampage in southern Sydney after a car crash, allegedly slashing a woman in his car and attacking others including a policeman.” Read about it at the Sydney Morning Herald.

Intersectionality and the ‘Progressive’ Assault on Zionism

Paul Schneider:

Intersectionality also gives Israel-haters an aura of respectability when they proclaim the blood libel that the victims of Nazis have become Nazis. Or that people defending their country against a genocidal foe are themselves committing genocide. Or that an indigenous people, connected to the land for millennia, are actually colonists. Or that Jewish refugees from Eastern Europe and Mizrahim kicked out of Arab and Muslim countries are now imperialists. Or that a multi-ethnic country where people of colour make up at least half the Jewish population practices white supremacy. Or that a country of less than 10 million people and roughly the size of New Jersey has successfully conspired to dominate American politics.

Is Kamala Harris Black?

“In fact, it actually is important that Harris is not a foundational black American (FBA), but rather, the child of immigrants. I know we don’t talk about it nearly enough, but remember slavery?” Ann Coulter is doing what she does best, writing complete garbage with racist undertones. But it’s entertaining because it’s so stupid. Read about it at Coulter’s website.

Germany’s Far Right Is on the March

Bertrand Benoit in the Wall Street Journal:

Björn Höcke, the firebrand head of the AfD [Alternative für Deutschland] party in the eastern German state of Thuringia, is leading ahead of a Sept. 1 regional ballot, according to an Aug. 13 survey by the INSA polling group. This puts a man who once said it was problematic to represent Hitler as “absolutely evil” in pole position to be the first postwar far-right politician to win a German state election.

Even if he doesn’t end up governing, a ballot win would make history in Germany. Crowning one of Europe’s most hard-line far-right groups would also mark an inflection point for a region where right-wing parties have found success by sanding down their ideological edges.

“It would be a turning point for sure, an earthquake,” said Axel Salheiser, scientific director of the Institute for Democracy and Civil Society in Jena, Thuringia’s second-largest city. “It would be highly symbolic for a far-right party to win, here of all places, in former East Germany, where the experience of dictatorship stretches across the 20th century.”

French Far-Left Loony Aymeric Caron Sues Chief Rabbi

From the Times of Israel:

A left-wing member of France’s lower house of parliament accused the country’s chief rabbi, Haim Korsia, of “defending war crimes,” a criminal offense, over comments he made in a television interview in which he said he wanted to see Israel “finish the job in Gaza” so it could make peace in the Middle East.

Harvard Law School Hires Defender of Anti-Semitism

“Less than a year after resigning her position as the president of the University of Pennsylvania following controversial statements regarding anti-Semitism on campus, Liz Magill has been hired by Harvard University for a research position.” Please don’t tell me that this had been the case if she defended bigotry against other racial minorities.
