General Election in Denmark Today
The Danes will go to the polling stations today. I work and pay my taxes in Denmark, but I have no vote. That’s fine. However, I do hope that the new parliament will lower taxes and let me keep more of my salary.

The right-wingers seem to have won yesterday’s election in Israel. A coalition of far-right nationalists and Haredi groups will now govern the Holy Land.

I’m not much of a blogger these days. I drown myself in other work, and that’s all right in a world gone all wrong. But even in times of war and post-truth politics, there’s music. This past Friday, I saw a performance by one of my Swedish favourites. Her music has been with me since my first steps in the gay world. My lesbian friends adored Eva Dahlgren like a goddess—and that was before she was out.
