It’s an odd feeling when one’s body is so tired that it doesn’t have enough energy to relax.

The Daily Mirror reports that a passenger stripped to her underwear onboard a flight from Cyprus to Britain and twice tried to storm the cockpit shouting “Allahu Akbar”.

Cynicism is often perceived as bad. We’re taught to expect the good in others. Problem is that this makes us vulnerable. I think much pain would be spared had we only learned not to presume good intentions.

The East Bay Times runs an interesting story on a space rock that hit the earth in 2008.

I woke up this morning to the news that a man has died after a shooting in a large shopping centre in Malmö, my hometown. The gunman opened fire while there were many shoppers about, seemingly without any consideration for whom he harmed. A woman was also shot, but according to the newspapers, she will survive.

Today has been a day off. Haven’t had many of them lately. Stayed in bed most of the day. As a Swede, I feel that I should care about the upcoming general election on 11 September, but can’t find anything exciting about it. Seems the choice is between a government with the support of either the far right or the far left, and I want neither.
