Rick Perry to Speak at Anti-Gay Dinner

The Republican Party is sinking deeper and deeper into the homophobic sewer. On 28 October, presidential candidate Rick Perry will speak at a dinner hosted by an extremist Christian group in New Hampshire that promotes discrimination and harassment of gay people. Jeremy Hooper writes:

This is not a minor thing. This is a major GOP star lending credence to a leading state group that not only wants to stop LGBT people’s civil rights, but to also stop human beings from living their truths. Quite literally. If that sounds absurd, it’s because it is. But it’s also now a part of the 2012 campaign season.

Please don’t tell me that you support the Republicans on other issues unless you are willing to say that it’s fine to treat some minority groups as unwanted garbage.
