Barack Obama Clarifies His Stand on Israeli Border
Yesterday, President Barack Obama addressed the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. In his speech, he made clear that he doesn’t expect Israel to accept the border that existed on 4 June 1967. To everyone concerned with Israeli security, this was a welcome clarification from the American president. To relocate nearly a million people by force from Judea and Samaria (West Bank) is simply not realistic. Furthermore, in an ideal peace deal, both Jews and Arabs must be allowed to remain where they live. The whole idea of basing a lasting peace deal on ethnically cleansed land with no-go areas for Jews disgusts me.
