Kansas Won’t Repeal Law Banning Homosexual Acts
Lawmakers in the American state of Kansas refuse to repeal a law banning homosexual acts. The law cannot be enforced because it violates the American constitution, but the state legislators want it to remain in print. “I think their motivation is pretty clear,” said Thomas Witt, head of Kansas Equality Commission, a gay-rights organisation. “They don’t like gay people and they’re going to make sure in the eyes of the law we’re still considered criminals.”
