Mandy Smith Has Seen the Virgin Mary

I had forgot all about Mandy Smith until I read this article in the Daily Mail. When I was a teenager, I had her single, “I Just Can’t Wait”. Can’t remember if I bought I myself or if I borrowed it from a friend. Anyhow, I was fascinated by her for the same reason I liked Patsy Stone years later. You know, the decadent girl with an aura of substance abuse about her. Maybe it’s a gay thing. I mean, Absolutely Fabulous never made it big outside the gay community. What’s funny is that old Mandy has turned into a devout Christian who claims to have seen the Virgin Mary. Who would have thought?
