On Drugs

Swedish blogger Joel Malmqvist writes in favour of decriminalisation of drug taking. He is the second Social Democrat who has dared to take on this taboo in Swedish politics. The first one being Erik Laakso. I begin to sense a shift in the attitude towards drug addicts. The prohibitionists are still in majority, and most politicians avoid raising the liberal argument against current legislation, but things are slowly turning away from the zero-tolerance policy.
